Going Home!

On our last day in Jackson Hole, I woke the boys up around 6:00 am and we headed for the airport. Billy went to return our rental car and I gave each of the boys a dose of Benedryl for the flight which we then missed. It would have been a direct flight putting us into Atlanta at 1:30. Instead we were stuck at the airport with two VERY sleepy children waiting on a flight 3 1/2 hours later that went to Salt Lake City, Utah. We were there for just over an hour and then boarded another plane to Atlanta. We had to sit on this plane without air conditioning for over an hour while they removed a suspicious passenger and then repaired an engine that wouldn't start (this part was especially fun with the boys). We finally made it home just before 11:00 pm. Unkie Boo and Katie were waiting for us at the airport with signs and a decorated car! We sure were glad to see them - it had been a really long day! This was the trip of a lifetime!!! While we're happy to be home, we can't wait for our next visit with Aunt Frannie and Uncle Loren!

Day 16 - West Yellowstone (Grizzly and Wolf Center)

Two Grizzly bears fighting over a container.

Testing this trash can to see if it's "bear resistant". The bear must have "paws on contact" for 90 minutes without getting in for the center to officially deem an item "bear resistant".

Just taking it easy today. Frannie and Loren treated Billy and me to a massage at a spa down the road. It was wonderful. Dee and I watched Micheal Jackson's funeral together.

Day 12 - Museum of the Rockies

Day 11 - Chico Hot Springs Resort

We drove about 3o minutes to a town called Pray, Mt. to stay the night at Chico Hot Springs Resort. We had a nice visit there except for that Matthew had his worst diaper ever! It was all over the floor of our room, the bed and himself. The room was tiny with a community bath, so we had to bathe him in the sink.

Day 10 - The Wedding

The Newlyweds
I wish I had taken more pictures at the wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and Frannie was a stunning bride.

The boys were so handsome in their dress clothes. Unfortunately this is the only picture I have for now. This is Matthew and me with our cousin, Rob.

Days 5-9 - Cakes

The Groom's Cake
Billy created the concept of this cake to include Loren's main activities. He works at Big Sky brewery so we put one of his beers pouring down the mountain with Fran and Loren kayaking in the beer and a camera on a rock at the bottom.

The bride's cake
Frannie chose the design for this cake - pleated fondant with alternating tiers of carrot and vanilla cake.

Day 4 - Red Lodge to Bozeman

Bunk beds are fun!
