Mimi's mumus

So...two plus two does not always equal four.

Sometimes a whole is more than the sum of its parts. I mean, I like chocolate. I like peanut butter. I love peanut butter cups.

Sometimes the whole is less than the sum of its parts. Most people like peanut butter. Most people like tuna fish. With the exception of my brother-in-law, Brett (AKA Boomer), very few people would find a "PB&TF" less than palatable. Another example? I like scantily clad women. I like my mother-in-law. Seeing my mother-in-law in a t-shirt and panties tonight, however, just made me feel awkward. Much the way it did when the same thing happened last week.

I suppose it's possible that this is just some sort of cosmic justice for the past. You see, I used to make jokes about Mimi's choice of nightwear. She typically wears a mumu around once she gets ready for bed. Betsy and I have both had a little chuckle about it over the years. But now it appears someone did not share our amusement. "Laugh at the mumus, will ya? Well, how do you like this, then? Panties!"

Or maybe it's less about any previous mumu mockery and more about balancing out the time the two of us had a five minute conversation before I realized I was in my underwear. Of course, my boxer briefs look a whole lot more like shorts than her panties do. But that's not really the point.

Mimi, keep that mumu handy! I don't walk around your house in my skivvies if there's anyone at home!
